This Privacy Policy describes how Dr. Anas Chemistry collects, uses, stores and protects information when students, guardians and administrators use the educational platform.

Depending on how the platform is used, the information we collect may include:

• Homework assignments, submissions, submission text and uploaded files.
• Grades, academic progress and learning records.
• Generated student progress reports.
• Guardian name and relationship to the student.
• Guardian mobile number and preferred language.
• Records of guardian consent for WhatsApp communications.
• Technical and security information needed to operate accounts and protect the platform.

We use information to:

• Operate student and administrator accounts.
• Provide chemistry learning materials.
• Manage homework and submissions.
• Record and display academic progress.
• Generate student progress reports.
• Communicate important educational information to guardians.
• Send permitted WhatsApp notifications when guardian consent has been granted.
• Maintain platform security, diagnose technical issues, and prevent misuse or unauthorized access.

Guardian WhatsApp numbers are used only when the guardian contact is active and WhatsApp consent has been granted. WhatsApp may be used for educational notifications such as overdue homework reminders and student progress reports.

Messages are sent through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta. Guardian contact details are not taken from student phone fields for this purpose.

Guardians may withdraw WhatsApp consent. Withdrawal stops future WhatsApp notifications from the platform, subject to technical processing already in progress.

Student progress reports may be generated as PDF documents and may contain academic or progress information. These reports are stored privately and are not intended to be publicly accessible.

When an administrator sends a progress report through WhatsApp, the report is transmitted to the selected consented guardian through the WhatsApp Business Platform.

Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the platform, including providers of website and application hosting, database and authentication services, cloud processing and infrastructure, email delivery, and the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta.

Information is not shared with unrelated third parties for their independent purposes unless required by law or necessary to operate the service requested by the user.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. These measures include access controls and private storage for protected documents. No online system can guarantee absolute security, and security practices may be updated as the platform changes.

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the educational service, maintain appropriate academic and administrative records, resolve issues, meet legitimate operational needs, or comply with applicable requirements.

The platform is an educational service and contains information relating to students. Guardian contact information is used specifically for communications connected to the relevant student.

Users and guardians may request correction of inaccurate information, updates to guardian contact information, withdrawal of WhatsApp consent, information about stored data, or account and data deletion where applicable.

When external services such as WhatsApp or Meta are used, those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Their handling of information is governed by their respective policies.
